Cassandra Eustace
Art Teacher
Cassandra Eustace is a visual artist and educator. She holds a first-class MA in Art & Process and a first class honours BA in Fine Art from CIT Crawford College of Art & Design. Cassandra’s work explores the resistance, simplicity, and freedom of connecting to what is uncertain in our lives, but ultimately what sustains us. As we become more displaced from nature and addicted to escaping from the everyday or even every minute, we can lose that connection to feeling safe in the here and now. Mental health issues underpin Cassandra’s work. She uses drawing because its embodied nature allows mark making to not know its own outcome..
Cassandra teaches what she enjoys about drawing. Her workshops offer a progressive teaching style with innovative creative techniques providing a mindful experience, combining drawing skill and theory with sensory drawing processes. She facilitates artist led workshops at the Glucksman UCC, CIT, and various locations around Cork, including regular outdoor classes and drawing sessions: ‘Mindful Creativity’, and ‘My Body Now’. She co-founded the ‘Drawing Clinic’ with her twin Megan Eustace who shares her studio. This collaborative advisory mobile service offers critique and professional advice for artists who work with drawing.
