CHSA COVID 19 Protocol - April 2022

CHSA is committed to adapting and developing our policies, safety practices and procedures as these guidelines and information relating to Covid-19 continue to evolve. In light of the current Covid variant concerns we ask all visitors and staff to wear a mask while inside the buildings.

Reducing the Risk Together

This effort extends to the continued cooperation from staff, students, parents and/or guardians in following the general Public Health Guidance and new safety policies and procedures we have put in place . We continue to implement our daily cleaning and sanitising routines while also relying on communication  and  cooperation  from staff, students parents/guardians to  continue to reduce the risk of contagion together.

Possible Risk

We have a detailed step-by-step professional Policy and Response Plan in place to deal sensitively and efficiently with any suspected or confirmed cases of the presence of Covid-19 in our school. These procedures prioritise general Covid-related safety, and the prevention and/or containment of possible spread with immediate effect.

Our Joint Responses to a Suspected Case

Should a suspected case arise in either a staff member or a child within the school, immediate arrangements will be made for them to promptly return and stay home until further notice. Likewise, any staff member presenting with symptoms  of  Covid-19 will be required to  leave the  school immediately and contact their GP promptly for medical advice and referral coronavirus testing. 

Mutual Confidentiality/Privacy around a Suspected case

In the same way we work to protect the privacy of and maintain strict confidentiality around any child and/or parent/guardian in our school, we kindly and officially request the same of parents/guardians in responding to any information you might officially or unofficially receive around suspected or confirmed cases among children or staff. 

Our Joint Responses to a Confirmed Case

In the case where a positive result for Covid-19 has been officially received, our service will take all appropriate measures.
