Youth Filmmaker Award
Chapel Hill School of Art is excited to announce the Micheál O’Loinsigh Youth Film Competition and Award 2022.
This is a youth film competition in two categories 14 to 18yrs and 18yrs to 25yrs. We are looking for films with an identifiable Irish language element of 3-to-5-minute duration. This competition is open to young people all over Cork. We are looking for your experience of your cultural environment expressed through film.
The competition opens on August 20th and closes November 14th at 5pm.

Dónal Ó Céilleachair - Anú Pictures
Anú Pictures is an interdependent film production company established by New York and Ireland based filmmaker Dónal Ó Céilleachair to synthesize over 30 years of experience across the independent film landscape.
Chris Hurley - Cork Film Centre
Cork Film Centre is a resource-based organisation, focused on developing, promoting and facilitating the advancement of creative film and video making. It provides support and access to resources for filmmakers, artists, animators, and those engaged in multi-disciplinary work involving the moving image, with special emphasis placed on developing the area of youth filmmaking. The Film Centre is a not for profit organisation. Services include education, equipment hire, advice and information for artists and filmmakers.
The Award
The Award takes the form of cash prizes and a screening celebration of the winning Films at Chapel Hill School of Art in early December:
